This image was taken in East Haven, Vermont at a Cold War-era radar base that has been abandoned since the early 60s. We drove up the mountain on a windy night in September expecting to find closed gates but all three ended up being open. We drove up and found this first area had barracks, a dining hall and other personal buildings once used but now dilapidated and overgrown with vegetation. This was easily the creepiest of all of the areas we have explored at night and proved to be a great spot for star photography.
